• Create space to for refugees participate in the development and implementation of refugee response, peace-building and development initiatives.
• Provide technical and financial support to facilitate refugee participation, including direct funding to refugee-led initiatives.
• Advocate with other member states to reduce barriers to participation, such as freedom of association for refugees, access to finance
• Involve refugees in national development planning processes
• Create refugee advisory boards that can advise government and legislators policies on policies and programming
• Ensure state development and humanitarian agencies implement participatory approaches to refugee programming
• Join a multi-stakeholder coalition to champion refugee participation (refugee participation pledge and New School/EU brainstorming sessions can example)
